Tara and Jason are not finding out the gender of their baby before he or she is born so Tara always calls it her little pumpkin. Pumpkins are also the theme for Tara’s shower which is in a few weeks. So, it only made sense that we did her maternity session at Trax Farm’s pumpkin patch. Trax Farms is really pretty, especially in the fall, so I had a lot of ideas for this session. Except, the weather didn’t exactly cooperate. Every time we went outside the light drizzle turned to a huge downpour. But, surprisingly, Tara actually didn’t care too much and was willing to brave the wet and cold for a few outdoor photos. So, even though we didn’t get to do ALL of the pretty outdoor locations that I had envisioned, I love the ones we did get! Oh, and Tara is my sister-in-law, so this little baby will be my new niece or nephew!!! I can’t wait to meet him or her!
The rain and fog kept us inside for this series of photos, but I love the white blown out sky it gave us for a background. This was taken with them standing right on the inside of the big automatic doors.
One of my favorites from the session. It stopped raining for just a few seconds. I like the way Jason is laughing in this one. Awww, that’s my Brayden. He threw up all over Tara’s sweater 5 seconds after this photo was taken.Whose is bigger? Haha Another one where I love how they are laughing at each other. Jason was cracking himself up with his baby pumpkin. I love the rain in this photo. Even though I was terrified of ruining my camera and lens while taking it. Luckily, the photo turned out great and my equipment is fine. Pretty pregnancy glow. One of the many pretty indoor areas at Trax. This was a display set up right in the entryway. Luckily, they weren’t busy and no one seemed to mind that we were using their store for our photoshoot. We also used their porch area while it was pouring down rain. Had time for a quick kiss in the pumpkin patch before it started pouring again. Literally, we ran back inside a second after this was taken. But, I love how the wind was blowing Tara’s hair back.Brayden came with us because Tara wanted him in a few of her photos. I couldn’t do this post without adding this one of him in a crate. I’m always putting this poor kid in buckets, pales, crates, and what-not. But, he was a trooper for this shoot and made it through the whole thing without crying. Well, until the very end. The last 5 photos I have from this session are of him screaming, lol.
