Meet Erika and Sean! They are getting married this fall down in the strip district and we planned a matching engagement shoot around their apartment in the Cork Factory building. It happens to be just minutes from their church. My photographer friends Chrissy and Matthew from www.salandbella.com will be handling the photography duties on their wedding day, but I simply cannot say no to a good engagement shoot. I love my newborn photography so much, but it’s really nice to step out of the studio sometimes and do something I haven’t done in a while. Enjoy!
We began the shoot in their apartment. It was cold outside and their apartment is awesome, so it worked out well. Their dog thought so too. He was ALL ABOUT getting in on the photos.
After a few minutes indoors, we moved outside and went on these rocks down by the river. We were really hoping for a nice sunset but the weather was as bleak and overcast as you would expect in Pittsburgh. Nevertheless, we did get some prettiness out of the clouds! And, since it was so cold, we took this shamrock blanket with us. Sean went to Notre Dame and if there is one thing I’ve learned about that college is that those alumni are hard-core fans for life.
Next, we moved around the building and went on top of the parking garage where you can see the church were they will wed in the fall!
Ok, it wasn’t really night-time yet when I shot this, but my skills in camera and in post processing helped me create that look. It was a great night!

Their second outfit choice was perfect with the colors in the apple orchard! But, before we went to that spot, we stopped in the petting zoo and got photobombed by the sheep!
OMGosh, talk about a gorgeous sunset! I was so happy we were where we where when I saw the colors starting to come out. And Jaylynn brought these gold balloons which made it even better!
