I'm not sure how many people know how *expensive* newborn photography props are. It can cost a small fortune to build up your studio stash! Additionally, most items are hand-made or come from oversea suppliers so there is often a long wait time.

Maybe you don't have time to wait or maybe you are on a tighter budget while you build the basics. Not to worry! I've scoured Amazon and found the best newborn photography props that can be on your doorstep in just a few days.

Bonus Section: Save Your Money On These Items!

When you're on Amazon scrolling and clicking around, it will inevitably suggest similar item for you. But, I'm here to tell you to save your money on these items:

Faux Fur. This particular style is dated. It's too shiny and looks cheap.

This style of swaddle. I used to have these in every color but newborn photography accessories have come a long way in just a few years. There are better wrap options nowadays. This style is dated and, as much as possible, you want your images to be classic and timeless.

These backdrops. It's tempting, I know. They are so affordable compared to others! But, they just don't photograph well. I recommend splurging and buying the mousepad material kind, or non-wrinkle fabric from a site like r2backdrops.

And, in general, stay away from the headbands, tutus, angel wings, and anything crochet.
